Welcome to drtwrk

drtwrk is an automated lot grading platform built for civil engineers. It connects directly to Autodesk Civil 3D and automates the most time-consuming parts of grading design.

Who is it for?

drtwrk is designed for:

  • Civil engineers and land developers running residential or commercial grading projects
  • CAD technicians submitting lot grading at scale
  • Project managers who need visibility into grading job status

Whether you're processing a single residential lot or an entire subdivision, drtwrk automates the repetitive, error-prone parts of grading so you can focus on design decisions.

Key capabilities

  • Process 2D and 3D linework — validate and clean lot lines, curbs, road centerlines, edge of pavement, edge of swale, and right-of-way geometry directly inside Civil 3D
  • Submit grading jobs — send lot, block, and zone grading work to the cloud grading engine with a single command
  • Review results in the web dashboard — monitor job progress, inspect grading output in an interactive 3D viewer, and make manual elevation edits without leaving the browser
  • Use presets — define and reuse standardized grading parameters across projects to enforce design standards and reduce setup time
  • Native Civil 3D integration — supporting Civil 3D 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027

How it works

From your perspective as a user, the drtwrk workflow moves through these layers:

How to get started

The fastest path to your first graded lot:

  1. Check prerequisites — you'll need Civil 3D 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, or 2027, a drtwrk invite, a stable internet connection, and your residential DWG file saved locally
  2. Activate your account — accept your invite and set a password, then join your company
  3. Install the plugin — Civil 3D Plugin
  4. Sign in — open Civil 3D, click the DRTWRK Tools tab, and use Account / Login in the Account/Support panel
  5. Prepare your linework and submit a grading job — follow the Quick Start guide
  6. Review results in the Web Dashboard
