2DLINEWORK

How to invoke

  • Type 2DLINEWORK in the Civil 3D command line, or
  • Click the 2D Checks button in the Core Tools panel of the DRTWRK Tools ribbon.

Prerequisites

  • An active drawing is open.
  • Layers are configured in the Layer Review modal.

What it does

Validates and prepares 2D closed polylines for submission. Checks that polylines are closed, validates lot labels, flags gaps, overlaps, and invalid geometry, then serializes the linework into the drtwrk 2D format. Displays results in the Grading Prep Review panel for review and correction before advancing to the 3D step.

3DLINEWORK

How to invoke

  • Type 3DLINEWORK in the Civil 3D command line, or
  • Click the 3D Checks button in the Core Tools panel of the DRTWRK Tools ribbon.

Prerequisites

  • The 2D Checks step has been completed and submitted.
  • Projection surfaces are configured in the Layer Review modal.

What it does

Repeats the 2D geometry processing, then creates permanent 3D feature lines in a specified Civil 3D site. Reads Z values from all selected polylines, validates elevation consistency across lot boundaries, extends unconnected endpoints to projection surfaces, assigns elevations from those surfaces, and flags 3D-specific errors. Results appear in the Grading Prep Review panel.

LOTZONEGRADING

How to invoke

  • Type LOTZONEGRADING in the Civil 3D command line, or
  • Click the Lot & Zones Grading button in the Core Tools panel of the DRTWRK Tools ribbon.

Prerequisites

  • The 3D Checks step has been completed and submitted.
  • Permanent 3D feature lines exist in the drawing.

What it does

Opens the grading modal populated with lot and lot line data from the drawing. Allows you to assign presets, adjust point elevations, and configure grading parameters, then submit the job to the drtwrk cloud grading engine. After the engine processes the job, a TIN surface is created, feature lines are added as breaklines, and spot elevations and slope labels are placed in the drawing.
